Title:
Plant-microbe interactions in a changing environment

Research area and project description:
Plant associated microbes hold great potential for improved plant health and nutrition. We are looking for a a highly motivated candidate to carry out a project that will provide a mechanistic understanding of plant-microbe interactions. The project will test the effects of environmental changes on plant-associated microbial communities using advanced molecular and data processing methods. The goal is to shed light into the key mechanisms driving the dynamics of plant-microbe interactions. The work will focus on a series of field (following a space-for-time substitution method) and greenhouse experiments, where we simulate climate change and examine the formation and evolution of plant-microbe interactions using methods like culturomics, metatranscriptomics, and metagenomics.

  • Project description. For technical reasons, you must upload a project description. Please simply copy the project description above, and upload it as a PDF in the application.

We are particularly looking for a candidate who enjoys working both in the field and laboratory. Experience in using molecular techniques, bioinformatics and statistics will be an advantage. The candidate should also have good communication and writing skills in English.

The application must include a cover letter, describing the candidate's research interests, experiences and motivation to apply for the position.
